*** UPDATE ***

Jim McKenna received enough write-in votes to surpass the 10,000 required to get onto the ballot. We look forward to a very interesting race between Mr. McKenna and the incumbent Martha Coakley. If all goes well, she will have the dubious distinction of losing two elections in a single calendar year!

Sounds like Professor Goodall is another one of those "tenured radicals" using his cushy job to recruit another generation of leftists. President Dwight Eisenhower got it right when he said:

<blockquote>"An intellectual is a man who takes more words than necessary to tell more than he knows."</blockquote>

Thanks for your kind words. For more info on Marty Lamb, gaining fame for the "Sick of Congress?" Barf Bags, go to martyforcongress.com. He will be on Cavuto Monday, 8/30 at 4 p.m. He's an attorney and small businessnessman, running against Democrat McGovern, pro-stimulum, pro-Hamas, pro-socialized health care, in the 3rd. There's a nice photo on-line of McGovern with Castro. To help retire Barney --no need to elaborate --go to seanbielat.org. Barney's successor will be Sean Bielat, a marine and a successful businessman, with a degree from the Kennedy School at Harvard and an MBA from Wharton.

Jim McKenna is going to be the Republican Nominee against Martha Coakley in November. His campaign has already distributed 30,000 sticker packs representing 60,000 individual stickers. He has picked up the support of RTC's across the state, tea party and sportsman. Write-In Jim McKenna on September 14th. Scott Brown was Lexington... Jim McKenna is Concord!

Congratulations on your excellent newsletter!

I particularly enjoyed the article about Mary Z. Connaughton's efforts to reform the financial practices on Beacon Hill. The overly optimistic assumptions currently being used by the Commonwealth as a guide to future pension obligations is truly risky.

In addition to using those risky assumptions, the Commonwealth is deep in debt, currently ranked number 2 in the nation in total debt per capita, as reported on CNN's website:

http://money.cnn.com/news/storysupplement/economy/state_debt/index.html

Only CT has more debt per capita than Massachusetts!

I am still planning to run a sticker campaign as a Republican for the 8th Congressional District. I need someone to create a website. I also could use a campaign manger and a finance director. I need volunteers.
